Its the biggest explosion I have ever seen.  

100 people died and over 4,000 were injured in a massive explosion at the port of Beirut. 

The authorities are not yet sure of the cause and have proposed two weeks of military supervision. 

They plan to get to the root of it all and will surely prosecute those to blame, but it won't make it all better.

Cars were rolled, windows shattered, buildings damaged and port infrastructure destroyed. 

It started as a local fire in a warehouse, but then came the sparkling or crackling of what could have been fireworks. 

There was a fireworks warehouse in the area, so that may explain it. 

But then it exploded and a massive and evidently very powerful shock wave pulsed from the epicenter.

It left some deafened. But many others suffered worse consequences. 

The streets were covered in debris. People walked around in a shell-shocked daze. Confusion reigned.
